Shane Toohey is the CEO and Founder of Peak Teams Inc. He founded the company in Sydney Australia, in 2002.

 

Shane’s guiding principle is that overcoming challenges makes you a better person. In tough situations we have to step out of our comfort zone, manage our emotions and find a way to succeed.

 

It’s this philosophy, of challenging yourself to become the best version of yourself possible, that forms the foundation of Peak Teams Global.

 

The business has a 20-year history of successfully helping clients develop potential within their organization. This includes dozens of Fortune 500 companies in the US, Asia-Pacific and Europe.

 

Shane is a 3-time winner of Brandon Hall Gold Awards for Excellence in Learning and Excellence in Leadership Development. He has partnered with CEO’s, CHRO’s and Global Heads of Talent Development on successful learning and development initiatives around the globe.

 

As an adventurer, Shane is one of a handful of people to have skied on all seven continents. He made first ski descents on remote peaks in Antarctica, the Caucasus mountains of Georgia, the Kackar mountains of Turkey and the Southern Alps of New Zealand.

 

Most recently, Shane organized a ski expedition to Greenland to film more  adventure content for Peak Teams Global.

 

As a father, Shane is developing the potential for his two sons, while also creating content for Peak Teams’ Next Generation of Talent. His son Samuel competes on the World Cup downhill mountain biking circuit and the Red Bull Crankworx series. His son Morgan’s goal is to receive a D1 scholarship before launching into a professional baseball career.
